The andean utopia, suggested as a “doubt” or “desire”, helps the reader understand the overview of architecture in the first half of the twentieth century in Lima and Peru. This variable allows the interpretation of this recent age, urging a reflection in Peruvian architecture from an Indian perspective, either present or absent along history. The Andean utopia is considered a well-known topic in social sciences or in art, and from which something specific could still be revealed by architectural shapes and urban space. Therefore, design should face the theme of the andean utopia bearing all its meaning, which contains evasion, fiction and hope.

	Resumen Buscando una huaca. Utopía andina, arquitectura y espacios públicos en el Perú. Primera mitad del siglo XX.
	La utopía andina, planteada como duda o deseo, puede servirnos para realizar una lectura de lo que ha sido la arquitectura de la primera mitad del siglo XX en Lima y en el Perú: la variable que nos permita leer e interpretar una época reciente. Se trata, entonces, de reflexionar sobre lo ocurrido en la arquitectura peruana a partir de una línea indigenista, presente y ausente a lo largo de la historia. Un tema muchas veces tratado en las ciencias sociales o el arte, pero del que todavía puede descifrarse algo específico desde las formas arquitectónicas y los espacios urbanos. Finalmente, enfrentar el diseño con el tema de la utopía andina en toda su carga de evasión, ficción y esperanza.
